Immediate position available for a Mechanical Machine Designer for the design of various automated equipment & material handling systems. Candidate should possess 5+ years of experience in designing special custom machinery and automated equipment utilizing 3D Solid modeling software - i.e. SOLIDWORKS .
Additionally, candidate should be proficient in detailing & checking drawings, as well as developing machine layouts. Candidate should possess skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T tolerance specifications, and have general knowledge in designs using "Electro-Mechanical" Components, as well as Pneumatic & Hydraulic Components.
Candidate should possess effective communication skills necessary to interact with both customers and peers; and as required, designer will work with Sales & Estimating departments to assist in developing Concept Designs and Plant Layout drawing for RFQ proposals & Sales presentations.
Candidate must have strong abilities in analyzing equipment designs & providing creative problem-solving solutions to manufacturing processes. Candidate should be able to multi-task, and work under pressure to keep projects on track, and within cost budgets; as well as meet scheduled completion dead-lines and customer commitments.
SKILLS that are a Plus+ for this job:
Knowledgeable in Applications using Robotics & Vision systems.
Familiarity with aspects of System Controls (i.e. PLC’s, HMI Panels, switches, safety systems, etc.
