We currently have a role available for an Analytical Chemist in a pharmaceutical research lab setting.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assessing and validating the performance of analytical instruments, including but not limited to high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
• Independently diagnosing and resolving common instrumentation issues, performing routine maintenance, and conducting subsequent performance evaluations.
• Utilizing LC and LC-MS and other standard laboratory techniques to characterize proteins, peptides, and small molecules.
• Conducting high-throughput screening applications using mass spectrometry.
• Implementing and maintaining advanced technologies for peptide therapeutics, including assay development and critical instrument maintenance.
• Keeping detailed records, performing independent data analysis, and presenting findings both in writing and orally, ensuring the integrity of electronic lab notebooks.
• Analyzing data thoroughly, critically assess experimental results, and troubleshoot as needed.
• Maintaining a safe, organized, and productive lab.

Job Requirements include, but are not limited to:

• BS - Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field with 3-5 years of industry experience (preferably pharma).
• Experience with mass spectrometry - both sample analysis and routine data interpretation - is preferred.
• Strong time management skills and flexibility to handle urgent projects within given timelines.
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
• Works well both as a team and as an individual.
• Demonstration of excellent team player skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
