Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision this position is responsible for procurement and various aspects of financial accounting for the training academy to include: obtaining quotes, requisitioning, entering purchase requests, receiving and reconciling of purchases.

  • Managing meal ticket distribution and reporting.

  • Petty cash distribution and special funds accounts.

  • Ordering and inventory of office, maintenance and training related supplies.

  • Responsible for entry of leave and attendance into the SCEIS system for training academy staff and in-house students when necessary

  • Monitor Kronos system for discrepancies and maintain leave and attendance files for training academy staff.

  • Serves as backup to Administrative Coordinators, as well as administrative staff members as needed.

  • Resume is requested with job application.

Must successfully complete four (4) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:


A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.


SCDC Minimum Requirements:

(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the State Department of Human Resources).

  • A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services.

OR

  • A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
