Bemana is searching for a Generator Technician in the Boston, MA area. Our client, a family-owned business with over 60 years of experience, is a trusted leader in generator service, sales, and rentals across the Northeast. As a Generator Technician, you’ll be on the front line—diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and repairing standby generator systems. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll travel to customer sites, troubleshoot equipment, and keep critical power systems running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on standby generator systems (8kW–1mW).
Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues beyond basic maintenance.
Install and program transfer switches, controllers, and other system components.
Conduct load-bank testing, generator start-ups, and detailed service reports.
Participate in an on-call rotation and uphold strong safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Background in electrical, mechanical, or engine systems (automotive, trucking, marine, or heavy equipment experience is highly relevant).
Preferably experienced with industrial or commercial generators; strong residential technicians with advanced hands-on knowledge are also encouraged to apply.
Skilled in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and controller programming, with exposure to multiple generator brands.
Demonstrated initiative and independence in high-responsibility service work.
Valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a DOT card, and ownership of basic tools (including a multi-meter).
