Junior Geotechnical Engineer (Entry-Level Welcome)

Location: NYC Metropolitan Area (On-site)

Type: Full-Time | Field-Based Start

Salary: $60,000 - $75,000

Must have personal vehicle (mileage & tolls reimbursed)

About the Role

A geotechnical consultancy-trusted by top structural engineers, architects, and developers across the Tri-State Area-is looking to hire a Junior Geotechnical Engineer with 0-2 years of experience. Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

This is a field-first position that will grow into design, reporting, and inspection work over time. If you're ready to get your boots dirty and develop deep technical expertise from the ground up, this is a rare chance to do it with mentorship and real project responsibility from day one.

What You'll Do

  • Perform field investigations , soil sampling, and special inspections

  • Support foundation and SOE design with analysis and field data

  • Draft technical reports, site logs, and daily observations

  • Travel to active construction sites across Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, and occasionally NJ

  • Assist senior engineers with report writing and project timelines

  • Participate in inspections and compliance documentation

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Geotech coursework preferred)

  • 0-2 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, field services, or inspection

  • EIT certification (or working toward it) is a plus

  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

  • Professionalism, punctuality, and high commitment to quality

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle

  • Comfortable working on construction sites throughout NYC
